You have questions . . .
We have answers!
What type of person sails
aboard the Lazy Lizard ?
Since our Catamaran is very stable, shaded, and safe, this allow
us to take out every type of person from youngsters, to seniors
with some physical challenges. We pride ourselves in making
everybody feel "at home" on our boat.
How long are the tours?
The morning tour leaves at 9:00 am and returns at 12:30 pm (3 ½
hours) and the afternoon tour leaves at 2:00 pm and returns
after sunset (4+ hours).
What should I bring with me?
Bring a towel, sunscreen, swimsuit, sunglasses, hat, a smile,
and a tip for the crew would be nice. We provide all the snorkel
gear, noodles, and life jackets for you.
Is the transportation to and
from our hotel included?
We have a shuttle running from Tamarindo to Flamingo that is
free. We do not have service in the other areas but will provide
it for larger groups. Call for details.
Where do you launch the
Catamaran from?
We are in Flamingo next to the old Flamingo Marina at the far
South West corner of Playa Potrero or 200 meters east of the CPI
(STV) Spanish school in Flamingo.
Do I get wet?
Only if you like. The area in the back of our catamaran is
completely protected from the sun and spray. You may get some
spray on you when you venture on to the sunbathing trampolines
on the front of the boat. But since the water in Costa Rica is
very warm, this is very refreshing. We offer an outdoor fresh
water shower to wash the salt off.
I don’t snorkel, what is
there for me to do?
We have two Sea Kayaks. Noodles for swimming, beautiful beaches,
and sightseeing. You can always stay on the boat with a cool
drink in your hand.
Is there a bathroom aboard?
Yes. We have a large bathroom below decks and a private changing
area.
Where do you go for the
snorkeling?
Depending on the weather and water conditions we will go to 1 of
6 different locations each having a different snorkel
experience. No matter where we end up there will be a large
variety of Tropical fish and sea life for you to encounter.
Will I get seasick?
Since we use a specially designed catamaran, we have had very
few guests get seasick on our trips. Our boats simply don't roll
around like all single hulled boats. Our non-rolling catamaran
is especially nice while we are at anchor in a cove; snorkeling,
and enjoying snacks and drinks.
Will you have a trip if it
rains?
Yes. Unless the conditions are unsafe we will be going out. We
have a large covered area for our guests and remember normally
when it rains in Costa Rica it’s for 10-20 minutes. When we have
clouds in the area mixed with the sunset we end up with some of
the most amazing colorful sunsets you will ever see.
What is your cancelation
policy?
You can cancel within 48 hours of the trip. Within 24 - 48 hours
we will rebook your trip. With less than 24 hours you will be
charged for the trip. We have put a great deal of effort and
cost into getting everything ready for you and most likely have
turned down other paying clients wanting your spot on the boat.
